- Work closely with engineers on Red Hat OpenShift and Operator Framework team to provide seamless developer experience
- Interact with multiple teams within Red Hat and with the open source community
- Use your excellent communication skills to communicate with other Red Hat OpenShift engineers, product managers, and management across the globe
- Serve as an engineering contributor to Operator SDK and Operator LIfecycle Manager projects and Red Hat OpenShift to deliver the functionality needed
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate with end users through Slack, forums, and email
- 3+ years of experience developing enterprise grade software
- Relevant software development experience and interest to switch to Golang
- Familiar with test-based development and agile or scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with linux operating systems like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CoreOS, and Fedora
- Understanding of and experience working with Kubernetes
- Experience working on API based solutions
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Prior participation in open source community software development is a big plus
- Understanding of open source development models is a plus
- Familiarity with enterprise application development is a plus

In this role, you will be a key member of our Red Hat OpenShift team and focus on the creation and standardization of Kubernetes application operators. You’ll help us provide a service that will change how development is done, using the power of Red Hat’s technologies and services hosted in the cloud. As a Software Engineer, you'll need to be able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment with the goal of making our end users and customers more effective with every release.
